Scott Nelson

Scott Edward Nelson, 44, Superior, WI, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Solvay House.
He was born May 4, 1970 in Duluth, MN. After graduating from Central High School in 1988, he worked at several restaurants including Zona Rosa, Augustino's and the Ground Round. Scott graduated from U.W.S. August 9, 2013 with a degree in Sociology and was a published McNair scholar. He looked forward to continuing graduate school in the fall at U.M.D. in the Education Department. Scott had many interests including music and First Nations Studies.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Nelson; and cousin Brett Nelson.
Scott is survived by his parents, Marcia and Brian Nelson; grandmother, Ruby Clemetsen; niece, Keely Nelson; sister-in-law Kelly Nelson; aunts and uncles, Carole and Bob Lent, Doug and Carol Nelson, Brad and Lynn Nelson; many special friends; and his cat, Gracie. The family would like to sincerely thank all the staff who cared for Scott at Essentia Health and Solvay House. At his request, a private family service will be held.
