Shane Olson

Shane Timothy Olson, age 50, of Duluth, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 10, 2018.  He was born November 30, 1967 in Portland, Or. to Jack C and Iona M. (Bolstad) Olson.  Shane was a graduate of UMD with degrees in Communications and Chemistry.  He had been an employee of Republic Bank for several years.  Shane was a member of The Vineyard Church.  He was a member of the Northern Minnesota Track Club where he served on the board of directors.

He enjoyed outdoor activities: running, skiing cross-country and downhill, and biking.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Sylvia Bolstad and John and Dorothy Olson.  Shane is survived by his mother, Ione Olson of Duluth; his father Jack C of Silver Bay; his sister Tonya Olson of St. Petersburg, FL. and his brother Dusty of Ironwood, MI.  Visitation   Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:30 pm until the 1PM Memorial Service at the Vineyard Church, 1533 W. Arrowhead Rd.  Inurnment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet.  If so desired, memorials may be directed to the Vineyard Church, 1533 W.
