Shannon Carl

Shannon Marie Carl, 42, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday, April 26, 2012.She was born in Duluth April 27, 1969, to Robert G. and Judith M. (Ludwig) Carl. Shannon was a 1987 graduate of Proctor High School and a 1992 graduate of the College of St. Scholastica. She worked for the Duluth Insurance Agency Inc.Shannon was a member and past president of Women of Today and a member of the Duluth Chamber of Commerce. She worked with the American Cancer Society and served on their Relay for Life committee. She had taught at the Duluth Business University.She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Robert Carl.Shannon is survived by her brothers, Brian (Denise) and Kyle Carl, both of Duluth; her sister, Angel Carl of Duluth; niece Stephanie Carl of Duluth; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends.VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 30, in Dougherty Funeral Home.
