Sherald Eugene Kimball, 88, passed away peacefully with family by his side on June 23, 2024 at St Luke’s hospital. He was born near Backus, MN on August 7, 1935 the son of Edwin and Zelma Kimball.
Sherald was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1958 stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. He was a truck driver at an early age, driving his semi across the country, retiring with over a million miles. He was a loving father and enjoyed cooking pancakes, playing cribbage and fishing with his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Delores, Merl, Butch, Eddie. Survived by daughters, Kimberly Heide of Duluth, MN and Camella (David) Rossiter of Saginaw, MN; grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) Schmitz, Jonathon (Melody) Heide, Jill Routh, Julia (Paul) Rivard, Matthew Rossiter, Rachel Rossiter and Thomas Rossiter; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Ernest, and Nels (Chris) Kimball; mother of his children, Thelma Williams; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on July 8, 2024 at The River Church, 1902 E 4th St, Duluth, MN with a Visitation beginning at 10am. Honor Guard and burial at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Saginaw at 2pm.
