Sherri Lee Monroe

Passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at the age of 61. Sherri was born in Chisholm, MN on September 23, 1963 to Arne and Mabel Vainio. Sherri was an artist, she loved painting and photography. She cared deeply about the earth and the environment. Sherri enjoyed cooking large meals for family and loved working with children. She will be deeply missed. Sherri is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shelly; and brother, Kelly. She is survived by her sons, Mark and Matthew; step-daughter, Erin; grandchildren, Adrianne and Michael; siblings, Arne Vainio, Brandon Vainio, Scott Thompson and Carla Gargano ; ex-husband, Alan; sister-in-law, Cindy and brothers-in-law, Paul and Scott; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on May 3rd at Peace United Church of Christ, 1111 N 11th Ave E, Duluth.
