Shirley A. Hady, formerly of Midway Rd. in Hermantown died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Solvay Hospice House, with her family at her side. Shirley was born June 30, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to Thornton and Esther Robson. She graduated from West High School in Cleveland. Shirley met and married James Hady and they were married on December 7, 1957 and they moved to Duluth in 1967.
She is a member of St. Raphael's Church in Pike Lake, Women's Golf League at the Auto Club and a sewing club. Shirley enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball and following her sons and grandchildren's sports. She was the love of Big Jimmy's life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thornton and Esther and her sister, Patricia.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Jeff (Renee) of Hermantown and Michael (Karin) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Alissa, Kaelen, Connor, Matthias, Jonah and Mark; great grandchildren, Brady and Brennan; sister, Bonnie Easton and niece and nephews, Patty, Tom and Jim.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7pm with Wake Prayer at 6pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Saturday at St. Raphael's Church, 5779 Seville Rd. Pike Lake.
