Soren Conrad Kasperson, (31) of Duluth, died January 8, 2014.
Soren was born on April 2, 1982 in Rice Lake WI, to James and Jan Kasperson. He grew up in Washburn WI, and graduated from Washburn High School. He then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Superior with a degree in Social Work.
Soren was very community minded, helping many people with special needs from a very young age. He worked as a Social Worker for several Twin Port agencies. He had a passionate interest in the food we eat and the impact it had on our life. He also enjoyed his time volunteering with Men as Peacemakers. Soren enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, skiing, hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail, cooking, music, and playing all types of games.
Soren was a very caring and loving person who always brought out the best in those around him.
He was preceded in death by, grandfathers, Martin Kasperson, Tom Marzolf, and Elmer Iverson; grandmother, Eunice Iverson; and uncle, Thomas Joseph Marzolf.
Soren is survived by, loving wife Amanda; parents, James (Marina Lachecki) Kasperson of La Pointe, WI, and Jan Kasperson of Washburn WI; brother, Kaleb (Candice) Kasperson; sister, Siri Kasperson; grandmother, Essie Marzolf; mother and father-in-law, Lynn and Steve Feyma; sister-in-law, Stephanie Feyma; step-siblings, Ben Herman (Patch) and Carolyn Herman (Brian); and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday January 14, 2014, visitation will continue Wednesday at 10 AM, until the Memorial Service beginning 11 AM at the Dougherty Funeral Home. Arrangements provided by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd Street Duluth MN 55805, 218-727-3555.
