Stanley Mario Laskowski, 94 died on March 3, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Virginia, MN on April 29, 1918 to Paul and Lorna Laskowski. Stanley married Genevieve Ahlin on November 13, 1948 they just celebrated their 64th Wedding anniversary.
He attended school in Virginia, MN and then worked for Pearson Grocery until he entered the service during World War II where he was stationed in the South Pacific. Upon his return he started his successful sales and business owner career. He worked for several years for the Chun King Company where he managed the national sales force. Stanley then created United Brokerage Company which grew to a point where he merged with Sales, Inc of Minneapolis and created United Sales. During these years Stanley had won many national awards where Stan and Gen traveled to many destinations around the world. After many years of mergers in the brokerage industry Stanley left the brokerage business in 1992, when he and his son Paul created Twin Ports Paper where he had worked every day until the onset of his illness in December of 2012.
Stanley will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help anyone at any time. Stanley had a habit of picking up peoples meals or buying their bag of groceries. He never ran out of $5 bills to hand out to young children. He lived in the same house in Lakeside for 60 years and was a long standing member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Zmaneroski, Helen Smith and daughter in-law Vicki Laskowski.
He is survived by his wife Genevieve (Ahlin), children; David, Little Egg Harbor, NJ , Jim(Jane)Eden Prairie, MN , Jean(Paul) Chilberg Hermantown, Mary Laskowski Duluth, Linda (Nick) Beeman Duluth. Donna (Tim) Williams Sartell, MN. Paul (Debbie)
Duluth ,MN, and 17 Grand Children and 7 Great Grand Children.

Visitation Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with Wake Prayers at 6:45pm at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 4901 East Superior St. Duluth. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Saturday at St Michaels Catholic Church with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Virginia. Memorials preferred to the Second Harvest Food Bank 4503 Airpark Blvd Duluth, MN 55811, St. Luke's Hospice or to honor Stan's legacy take someone to lunch, perform a random act of kindness or help someone in need.
