Stephen Tucker

Stephen Joel Tucker, 63 of Duluth, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was born in Duluth April 2, 1953 to Lawrence J. and Dorothy C. (Schuman) Tucker.  He attended Duluth Central High School.  A U. S. Army veteran, Stephen served as a SP/5.  He enjoyed camping and fishing.  He was a funny guy with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.  Stephen was devoted to his kids and grandkids.  He attended the River Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gordon.

He is survived by his daughters:  Sheryl (Jim Collier) Lund, Shauna D. Tucker, Joella L. Tucker, Alicia Zimmer, and Stefanie M. (Bernie) Butenhoff, all of Duluth; his step-son Lucas Johnson of Duluth; eight grandchildren:  Ashley and Joshua, Tyler and Sateya, Shylah, Aniyah and Inecio, Jaden and Amari, Elijah, Razel and Sebastian; and two great-grandchildren; his brothers Lawrence (Mary) Tucker of Texas and Thomas (Donna) Tucker of WI.

Stephen’s family extends a special thank you to Garden House Estates and to St. Luke’s Hospice for their wonderful care.

Visitation:  10 am Wednesday, December 28, 2016 until the 11 am funeral service at Dougherty Funeral home.  Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery, Hermantown, with military honors accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E.
