Susan Anne Randolph, age 62, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Duluth on October 17, 1954 to Leo L. and Evelyn V. ((Daugherty) Benton. Susan married John “Jack” Randolph on July 17, 1971 in Duluth. Susan had many talents. She was a wonderful baker and was known for her homemade pizza, cookies, buns and her homemade soups. She canned her own preserves from her apple trees and made wonderful apple sauce and apple butter. She was a wonderful seamstress and made quilts for her grandchildren, as well as their first sweaters. She loved gardening. Susan never missed any of her grandchildren’s functions. She was a very loving, happy mother and grandmother; always excited to give them hugs. Susan was always so sweet to everyone! She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Linda Benson. Susan is survived by her husband John, her daughter Tracie (Ron) Treharne, of Germany; her son John, Jr. (Hollie) of Proctor; her grandchildren: Matthew, John lll, and Victoria; her sister Marla Benton of Duluth; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friday, June 30th. from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at Dougherty Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E.
