Tammy Hillstrom

Tammy Hillstrom, 60, of Duluth, passed away on Friday September 27, 2024, in St. Lukie’s Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1964, to John and Lorretta Hillstrom in Two Harbors, MN. Tammy was fiercely independent, and her long-time friends Kenneth and Don were like family to her. She was proud of earning her diploma from the Area Learning Center in her 30s and maintaining her own apartment for many decades despite life’s adversities. She loved listening to music and watching music videos. Classic rock music (Van Halen, Def Leppard, Michael Jackson) and Christian Music (Amy Grant) were some of her favorites. Tammy enjoyed sitting in the dining room of her assisted living facility to socialize with others. Tammy was an animal lover and was preceded in death by her cat Tigger.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Janet, and brothers Larry and Robert.

Tammy is survived by siblings Judy Williams, JoAnn Pearson, Lloyd Hillstrom, Patricia (Don) Hamsmith, Kenneth (Lysha) Hillstrom, Richard Hillstrom, and Laurie (Jerry) Strand, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 8, 2024, from Noon until the 1PM memorial service in Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.
