Theresa "Tess" Christen
April 14, 1926 — April 8, 2017
Theresa Lucille “Tess” Christen, 90, of Duluth, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 in her home with her family by her side. A lifelong Duluth resident, she was born November 14, 1926 to Stephen and Jenny (Stretar) Lovich.
Tess married John W. “Jack” Christen on August 26, 1943. She was a homemaker. Tess was a wonderful artist and a great collector of antiques.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lorraine Bakeric, her grandchildren Scott, Kerry and James, her son Daniel Thomas, and her husband Jack on May 16, 2016.
Tess is survived by her children: Patricia Seiler, John C., Steven W. and David P. Christen; her sisters: Dolly Dutmer and Janice (Pete) Nelson; her brother Santo Antonutti; her sister-in-law Mary Walsh; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two great-great granddaughters, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Tess’s family extends a special thank you to Cheryl Jaros for all she has done for Tess through the years.
Visitation: 10 AM Thursday, April 20, 2017 until the 11 AM funeral service at Dougherty Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second St., Duluth, 727-3555.
