Thomas Agnew Jr

Thomas J. Allnew aka Thomas J. Agnew Jr., 75 of Duluth, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Hermantown after a long illness. Tom was born January 24, 1939 in Duluth to Thomas J. and Pauline Agnew Sr. He graduated from Marquette University and from John Marshall Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate. He also served in the US Army. Tom was an assistant St. Louis County an Attorney and also had a private law practice. In 1978 Tom became a born again Christian and continued his faith until his death.
He was preceded in death by her parents.
Tom is survived by his sons, Daniel Zimmerman, Israel (Barbara) Malachi, Thomas Agnew III, Paul (Rachel) King and Phillip (Theresa) Agnew; siblings, Mary Jo Beaudry, Beth Blackwood, Jerome (Nancy) Agnew, Virginia (Chuck Herring) Agnew, Michael and William Agnew; former wife, Julianne; 6 grandchildren Rochell Halstead, Erica Manske, Thomas Agnew IV, Rose Agnew and Luke Agnew and two great grandchildren Violet and Lola Manske; cousin, Peg Mold and Aunt Rosemary Agnew.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29 beginning at 12 noon with services at 1pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, (218) 727-3555.
