Thomas Brayden

Thomas W. Brayden, 89, born in Proctor, Minnesota to Esther and Walter Brayden died Monday, March 11, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital.  Tom moved to Two Harbors at an early age and was a student in the Two Harbors school system.  Sports became very important to him in his high school years.  Tom attended Gustavus Adolphus College and received his B.S. degree in education from UMD.  He taught and coached basketball in Becker, Minnesota for 4 years.  At that time he married the love of his life Lorraine. Their marriage lasted over 63 years. They both taught in Pine Island, Minnesota and Duluth.  He was a counselor and assistant basketball coach at Duluth Central High School until his retirement in 1987. Tom is survived by his wife Lorraine, their children, Paul (Debbie) and Lisa (Tom) Harloff and grandchildren Nicole, Allison and Abby.

VISITATION:  From 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 Memorial Service, Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Concordia Lutheran Church.  Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 218-727-3555.
