Todd Johnson

Todd Michael Johnson, 55, of Duluth, Minn., passed on peacefully to heaven on March 9th in the tender care of the Essentia hospital Cardiac ICU team.

Todd was born in St. Louis Park, Minn., on March 19, 1961, to Joan and Loren Johnson. He brought great joy to his family and care givers with his big smile, teasing sense of humor and infectious laughter. Todd courageously beat the medical odds over decades. For the past 24 years, Todd has been lovingly cared for by the special team at the Swan Lake Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). Todd gave unique nicknames to his care-givers, who adored him, and he loved the house dog, Keela. He also recently worked at Pinewood, Inc.

Todd is preceded in death by father Loren; grandparents, Norah and Ernie Gimpel, Arnold and Ruth Johnson, and Art and Mary Hansen; uncle, Dennis Johnson.

Todd is survived by mother Joan Fleming; sister, Chrissy (Sean) Bradley; brother, Mark (Carol); six nephews and one niece; uncle, Chuck L. (Shawna) Johnson; many cousins, and friends­­.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 11th at 1 pm, Swan Lake ICF, 1423 Swan Lake Rd., Duluth, MN 55811.
