Tonya Marie Ojaniemi

Tonya Marie Ojaniemi, age 38 passed away on August 20, 2024. She was born on February 27, 1986 to parents, Charles Easterling and Christine Ojaniemi. Tonya was a life-long Duluthian. She was a part of the last graduating class at Duluth Central High School. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially 4-wheeling and fishing. More than anything she loved her family. She was lovingly known as ‘Auntie TT’ by her nieces and nephews, and her daughter, Gabby was her entire world.

Tonya is preceded in death by her father, Charles Easterling. She is survived by her daughter, Gabrielle (Ryley); mother, Christine Ojaniemi; stepfather, GG Higgins; brother, Nick (Barbara) Ojaniemi; best friend, Misty Mishler; nieces and nephews, Kayden Johnson, Noble, Tommie, and Valor Ojaniemi; her partner, Shane Bolenger and his children, Cody & Chevy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 30th at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. in Dougherty Funeral Home.
