Vincent Anthony Dodge, 79, formerly of Glacier Trail, Saginaw, died of a broken heart, Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Essentia St. Mary's Hospice, surrounded by his family.
Vince was born Dec. 3, 1933 in Duluth to Clarence and Rose Dodge.
He was a 1951 graduate of Cathedral High School. Vince married the love of his life Janice Page on Jan. 14, 1956. He worked as a pressman at Service Printers and Davidson Printing.
He was a member of St. Raphael's Church and the Italian American Club. Vince enjoyed stock car racing, the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping on Whiteface, story telling, smoking cigars, jazz music, The Family Reunion, but most of all spending time with Jan, the kids and his precious grand and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rose; his granddaughter, Cora Cayemberg; brother, Joe; sister, Clarice Massaro and his loving wife Jan who died in December.
Vince is survived by his son, Tony (Laura) Dodge of Minneapolis; daughters, Gina (Bob) Wagner, Pam (Mark) Scanlon, Martina (Ed) Cayemberg and Markalene (Doug) Anderson all of Duluth; grandchildren, Nichole (Jesse) Hagadorn and Neil Slotness, Casey Cayemberg, Kyle, Kevin and Matt Scanlon, Brandon (Jessie), Josh (Kristi) and Cody (Stephanie) Wagner, Ross (Amy) and Scott Dodge, Stephanie, Angela and Kevin; great grandchildren, Rylynn, Lily, Jack and one on the way; brother, Clarence Dodge and Donna; sister, Rosemary (Gene) Garbarino; sisters-inlaw, Deidre Dodge, Barb Cummings and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Dougherty Funeral Home, where visitation will continue Thursday from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. Services.
