Virginia LaBud

Virginia I. Hantz LaBud, 90, of Duluth, passed away Thursday November 26, 2015 in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Duluth on March 22, 1925 to Samuel and Mary Hantz. Virginia had worked for Diamond Match Company in Cloquet, and at Lepak Lumber as a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Raphael's and St. Joseph's Catholic Church's, American Legion Post #71, VFW Post #137, and the Moose Lodge #505. Virginia enjoyed fishing, camping, partridge hunting, and trips to Canada.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dominic, parents, sisters Victoria Fracassi, and Patricia Armstrong, and a brother Thomas Hantz.
She is survived by a sisters Lucille Hantz, and Gloria (Jeanie) McGonigle brother Richard Hantz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to the Gillette Children's Hospital in Virginia's name, 200 East University Ave., St. Paul, MN, 55101.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 1, 2015 from 5PM to 7PM with a 6:30PM Rosary Recitation in Dougherty Funeral Home 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805, and will continue Wednesday December 2, 2015 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Gnesen, 6110 Chruch RD.
