Virginia M. Turnbloom, 90, of Deephaven, Minn., formerly of Duluth, Minn. and Yuma, AZ., died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Deephaven Woods Assisted Living in Deephaven. She was born in Duluth on May 2, 1928 to Leonard and Aurore (LaBlanc) Drentlaw. Virginia was a 1946 graduate of Duluth Cathedral High School. In Duluth she was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church since 1960. She was active in parish council, the alter society, and was a member of the choir for many years. She also volunteered at the Benedictine Health Center. Virginia was a self-employed seamstress in Duluth. She and Kenneth were residents of Yuma from 2003- 2018. In Yuma she was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Virginia is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Deephaven; her two sons, Steven L. (Diana) of Martinez, CA. and Daniel J. (Dorothy) of Minnetonka; five grandsons, Brian L. and Bradford V. of Martinez, CA, David J. of Portland, OR., Jacob D. and Paul S., both of Minneapolis; three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Kathleen Hanson of Little Canada, Minn. and Janet Reese of Stillwater, Minn.; and nieces and nephews. VISITATION: Friday, September 21, 2018 from 10 AM until the 11 AM memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese Catholic Church, 18322 Minnetonka Blvd., Deephaven, Minn.
