Wayne William Waller, 77, of Saginaw, died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born in Duluth July 4, 1937 to Clifford E. and Maryjane Y. (Juventin-Aubut) Waller. Wayne married Ruth O. Johnson. He worked as a wood buyer for Diamond Match in Cloquet, retiring after 40+ years of service. He had been an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed classic cars. He was also an excellent wood craftsman. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2012, and by his dog Refund. Wayne is survived by his children: Cheryl (Brad) Fox of Duluth, Annette (Jon) Beaufeaux of Aitkin, Minn. and Steve Waller of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Danny, Rachel, Taylor and Steven, Jr.; his sisters: Janice (Jim) Brady of Phoenix, AZ, Geraldine Gatlin of Superior, WI, Terry (Bob) Hanninen of Munger, Minn; his brother Paul Sykes of Arlington, TX; his special friend Mae Line of Saginaw; and his dog Ringo. Wayne's family would like to thank those who helped at the accident scene and the staff at Essentia Health for their care. Visitation: 1 - 3 pm Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Monday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Twig. Burial will be at Grand Lake Cemetery, Twig.
