Webster (Ray) Bushnell, 83, of Duluth, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 peacefully with his family by his side at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born to Webster and Loretta (Puglisi) Bushnell on November 28, 1936. For 37+ years he worked for the 148th Fighter Wing-Minnesota Air National Guard retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a member of St. Josephat’s Polish National Catholic Church. Ray enjoyed trains, planes, and Street Rods. He was a member of MSRA, NSRA and other car related organizations. More importantly he enjoyed spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Joel and George; sister-in-law Sharon; nephews Danny and David Bushnell. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Joan; children Jackie (Rick) Piasecki and Brian (Shelly) Bushnell; grandchildren: Michael, Jennifer Piasecki, Sharayah, Jake, Josh and Travis; 6 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Sharon Bushnell, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gerry and John McGraw; lifetime friend Milt Hill; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Dahlin, Dr. Finstad and all the nurses in CICU and Hospice who gave great care to Ray. VISITATION: Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10 – 11 AM, followed at 11 AM with the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephat’s Polish National Catholic Church, corner of 5th. Street & 3rd. Avenue, E. FACIAL MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Military honors will be accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard. Burial will be at Polish Catholic Cemetery.
