Wendy L. Jackson, 63, lifelong resident of Duluth, Minn. became an angel unexpectedly Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Wendy was born April 6, 1951 in Duluth to Melvin and Lela Severson. She grew up and lived her adult life in the Central Hillside. She attended Franklin Elementary, Washington Jr. High and graduated in 1969 from Duluth Central High School.
On February 19, 1971 she married Glenn Jackson. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 36 years; finally retiring in October, 2009.
Wendy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; she loved knitting, sewing and anything crafty. Anyone who knew Wendy likely had something she had made. She also enjoyed her gardens and flowers, adventurous cooking (that’s what we called it) and being with their two dogs.
She was a strong, brave women who kicked cancer to the curb twice.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Glenn; her son Darrin Jackson of Duluth; her daughter Rebecca Jackson of White Bear Lake, Minn; her sister Ann Zentgraf (Joe) of Duluth; her brother Jim Severson (Mitzi) of Cape Canaveral, Florida; her sister Ruby Vincent (Ron) of Duluth; many nieces and nephews; and her furry best friends Duke and Lily.
