William F. Braun, 93, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 7, 2019.
Bill was born in Grand Rapids, MN on July 24, 1925 to Joseph and Helen Braun.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, followed by earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Tech. He worked for Universal Atlas Cement for 21 years; then with the Fuller Company as project manager building cement plants around the world. He finished his career at Allis-Chalmers in Wisconsin.
Bill was a lifelong member of various Masonic Lodges in Duluth and a lifetime membership at The Scottish Rite and was a member of AAD Shrine. He enjoyed woodworking, karaoke, gardening, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy (Monson); son, Craig; siblings, Bert and Betty Nordby.
Bill is survived by, son, Steven (Debbie), grandson, Jason (Samantha); soon to be great grand-daughter, Mavis; and many other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be 2PM, Monday, April 15, 2019 with visitation one-hour prior in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805.
