William “Bill” Christianson, age 75, of Duluth, beloved brother, uncle, Great Uncle and friend, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth with his brother by his side after a significant battle with heart disease, diabetes and Parkinson’s. Bill was born in Little Falls, MN on January 16,1949, a blustery but beautiful day in Northern Minnesota to Albert and Bernadette Christianson. Bills parents relocated to Wrenshall, MN where Bill attended school. Bill was active in school and was a happy dude and always had an angle. He especially liked going to shop class with “Mr. G” where he learned to tear things apart and put them back together and they even worked which was more amazing. This would become fruitful as he grew, and his mechanical aptitude would bring accolades and for him to become known as “Bill” the fixer---cause if it had a motor Bill could fix it. Bill very much wanted to serve his country and follow in his father and older brothers’ footsteps but a head injury in his early childhood would make him unable to serve. Bill served in other ways, helping neighbors and friends with unyielding zest to just be “Bill” the fixer, your neighbor and your friend.
Bill is survived by his brother Robert of Duluth, MN, and a sister Barbara (Axel) Carroll of Grafton, OH, and several nieces, nephews and Grand nieces and nephews. William always had an angle and could haggle and barter with the best of them. He truly had a phenomenal intellect, but if you needed something or a helping hand, you could count on Bill, the fixer, to have your back. He will be sadly missed and there will be a void.
Bill has requested no services. The internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Woodland Hills, Duluth, MN.
