William T. Fawcett
William (Bill) T. Fawcett, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Dunedin, FL after a brief illness. He was born September 10, 1932 in Duluth, MN to Elsie E. (Smith) and Thomas W. Fawcett. He grew up and attended schools in Duluth, graduating from Duluth Central High School.
He lived in Edina, MN for many years, where he enjoyed working for the Minneapolis Normandy Inn, which he retired from. He also worked for Izatys Resort on Mille Lacs Lake. Later in his life he developed a passion for genealogy and family history. On multiple occasions, with his friend Ben, he traveled to England and Europe researching their family histories and documenting their research for future generations. After retirement he wintered in Dunedin, FL and spent his summers on Mille Lacs Lake.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, his brother Jack G. Fawcett, and his great niece Erin Royal. Bens parents Bernhardt and Edna Schulz and many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Friends.
He is survived by his Friend of 53 years Ben Schulz of Dunedin, FL and Mille Lacs Lake, nieces Rita Fawcett and Diana (David) Royal, great nephews Kyle Fawcett and Jake Royal, great niece Libby Archer and her son Markkayden, cousins, Extended Family, and Friends.
Visitation: 1:30 pm, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Forest Hill Chapel, 2515 Woodland Avenue, Duluth. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home (218) 727-3555.
