William B. Johnson, Jr., "Salty", 80, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1934 in Duluth to William B. Sr. and Helen (Dinkle) Johnson. Bill graduated from Old Central High School in 1952, and in 1953 he joined the Army, 10th. Infantry Division and was honorable discharged. Bill "Salty" worked for Cutler Magner for 45 years as a Salesman and Plant Manager. He loved looking for and getting a good deal. You may have frequently seen him participating in auctions throughout the surrounding area.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Tom; and his grandsons Daniel and Larry.
Bill is survived by his wife Jeanette; his children: William B. III (Esperanza), Julie, Michelle, Steven (Kathy) and Mark (Melissa); grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 10 am Friday, March 13th. until the 11 am funeral service at Dougherty Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials directed to Alzheimer's Assoc., 2002 W.
