William Keller

William Charles Keller, 89, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, October 12, 2016.

Bill was born in Eau Claire WI, July 13, 1927, to William and Alice Keller.  Bill joined the State Guard in 1944, and the Navy in 1945, where he served for 10 years. He worked with his uncle in Springfield IL, with Hackney Ponies, he also worked in Engineering Sales at National Iron, after they closed he was a driver for numerous cab companies in Superior WI.

Bill was a member of First Lutheran Church, he also was a member of Johnson's Bakery Morning Club, Kiwanis Club, helped with meals on wheels (which Bill and Mavis got Volunteers of the year), an avid bowler, volunteered his time at the salvation army. He loved music and the Symphony, and running and attending rummage sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mavis (Erickson); brothers, Tom (Kathy) Keller, and John (Priscilla) Keller; sisters, Sylvia (Robert) Miller, Madge (Jim) Berryhill; brother-in-law, Lynn (Sharon) Erickson and numerous, nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be 11AM, Wednesday October 19, 2016, with visitation one-hour prior in the First Lutheran Church, 1100 E Superior St, Duluth, MN 55802.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church, Salvation Army, or Animal Allies of Cloquet.
