William Kovala

William R. Kovala, 91 of Duluth, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born in Eveleth, MN on December 24, 1929, to Richard and Lydia Kovala. Bill was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lions Club and Curling Club. Some of Bill’s hobbies included curling, golfing, playing pool and singing in the church choir. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; parents; and sons, Kurt and Kyle. Bill is survived by his daughters, Sally Kovala and Stacy Kovala; son, Richard Kovala; grandsons, Orion, Hunter, Jesse, Kyle and Kenneth Kovala; granddaughter, Kyleah Jarvi; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. If so desired memorials in Bill’s name can be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard Endowment Fund, 1325 N 45th Ave E., Duluth, MN. Memorial Service will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, with visitation 30 min. prior at the Lutheran Church-Good Shepherd, 1325 N 45th Ave E., Duluth, MN 55804.
