Wood Kum Wong-Huie

Wood Kum Wong-Huie, longtime resident of Duluth, MN, has passed away on March 21 at Benedictine Health Center at the age of 100.
She was born Jan. 15th, 1917 in China, immigrated to Hong Kong with her family until 1977 when she journeyed to the United States.
As a woman of strength and character, Wood Kum gave selflessly to ensure every opportunity to prosper for her family. Her kindness, love and support will be remembered and missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Wood Kum is survived by her three children, Ping (Lee), Mee Sheung (Paul) and Mary(Sam); 6 grandchildren, Eric (Harvey), Wai(Jeremy), Eddie(Erin), Susan(Jack), Anna (Jake) and Melissa: along with 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service on Sunday April 2, 2017 in Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
