Yvonne L' Abbe`

Yvonne L’Abbe` passed away suddenly at home in the early morning hours of July 7th. Yvonne leaves behind her loving husband Mark Harrell and her children Joseph, Michelle, and stepdaughter Reesa.

Yvonne was an unparalleled mother and was thrilled to return to Duluth, the city where she was raised and so dearly loved, to raise her children. Yvonne was an IT career professional as a project manager for IBM and co-owned a handsaw manufacturing firm with her husband, Bad Axe Tool Works.

A two-time cancer survivor, Yvonne always embraced life with unrelenting exuberance and was highly respected throughout IBM and the hand tool industry.

Preceded in death were her father Philip, mother Grace, and sisters Denise and Valerie. Yvonne will be sorely missed by her sister Michelle and husband David Berg, her sister Lorraine and husband Jeff Smith, her brother Steve and wife Jean, and brother Phil.

Memorials may be sent to the Leiomyosarcoma Support & Direct Research Foundation.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 10, 2020 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E. 4th St. Duluth, MN 55812.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.  600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  218-727-3555.
