Zevin McCurley
May 25, 1975 — June 23, 2016
Zevin Samie McCurley passed away on June 23 at the University of Minnesota Hospital with his mother by his side. Zevin was born May 25, 1975 in Duluth MN. He graduated from Denfeld High School, the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps and the Lake Superior College in Auto-Body Repair. Zevin suffered from chronic liver disease since birth. He had two liver transplants and prolonged hospitalization, and he maintained positivity, Dignity and hope throughout.
He loved music, was a fan of Jimi Hendrix and like to play his Red Electric Guitar. Zevin was kind, thoughtful and empathetic. He maintained strong and long lasting friendships.
He was preceded in death by his Father Samie and sister Katie.
Zevin is survived by his mother Carol and nephew, Zevin Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday June 30, 2016 from Noon until the 1:00PM Funeral Service in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. 218-727-3555.
