Marcia Nelson

Marcia Ann (Clemetsen) Nelson, 74, of Duluth, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at Mayo Clinic-Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN.  Marcia was born in Marquette, MI on March 4, 1944 to Marwood and Ruby Clemetsen.  She graduated from Central High School in 1962 where she made several life-long friends.

Marcia grew up and lived her entire life on Park Point.  She loved Lake Superior and its wind and waves.  Marcia married Brian Nelson 55 years ago on September 21, 1963 and raised two wonderful sons, Steven and Scott.  Marcia was very proud of her special grand daughter Keely and they enjoyed being silly and cozy at their frequent sleep-over parties.  She also enjoyed spending winter months by the water in Cape Coral, FL.

Marcia was preceded in death by her two sons, Steven and Scott; her father Marwood Clemetsen; aunts Mabel Johnson, Elsie Anderson, Elaine Trytten and uncle Alton Clemetsen.  She is survived by her husband Brian; mother Ruby Clemetsen; granddaughter Keely Nelson; daughter-in-law Kelly Nelson; sister Carole (Robert) Lent; uncle Harold (Evelyn) Anderson; cousins John (Nancy) Clemetsen, Mark Anderson and Karen Zinkgraf; and brothers-in-law Doug (Carol) Nelson and Brad (Lynn) Nelson.

VISITATION:  Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at First Lutheran Church, 1100 E.
